Party Theme Decorations

Everyone loves parties. Music, food, friends and games are hard to beat in terms of having fun. People plan annual parties, last minute parties, or have parties that aren’t even called parties. Any kind of gathering of friends can be considered a party.

Party themes became popular because people loved to celebrate while rejoicing with something in common. Party themes bring guests together who may not know each other. Party theme decorations can be purchased in many places. Online, you may have an easier time because there is such a variety of products on a single marketplace website.

Common party theme decorations are for milestone birthdays. Fortieth and fiftieth birthday parties are notorious in America because people are in fear of getting old. When a party is thrown, some typical party theme decorations include: fake tombstones, black feather boas, whoopee cushions, large glasses, a cane with a horn on it, toy buzzards and over-the-hill balloons.

People love to pretend they live in tropical and exotic places. Sometimes, people throw Hawaiian night or luau parties and invite people to a backyard setting. Popular party theme decorations for luaus include: grass skirts for guests to wear, cups that look like coconuts, lei necklaces, tiki torches and Hibiscus flowers. If the host decides to go all out, there may even be a whole pig roasting on a spit.

People love 80’s themed parties. There’s hardly anything more fun than dressing up like an 80’s band member or wearing your old 80’s prom dress to dance with your friends. Some great 80’s party theme decorations are posters from 80’s movies, candy, brightly colored balloons, along with streamers.

Halloween parties need decorations. There are fake spider webs, fog machines, jack-o-lanterns, fake appendages, rubber tombstones, plastic bats, creepy figurines that move, scary sound effects and ghosts. Some people go all out and construct a hunted house or have a makeshift haunted dungeon using their basements. It’s customary to have it be very dark or use a black light, have people dress up in scary costumes to jump out at people, hanging chains and creaking doors. There may also be a section set up with fake cauldrons and black boxes full of food, such as noodles and skinned grapes. The host will ask guests to feel the objects and name them without looking at them. This is a game that adds ambiance to a Halloween party.

In the summer I like to throw a beach themed party in the back garden! I have a hot tub too so makes it more exciting. We have cocktails and lovely food and its always one of the best party themes that I do, all my friends come every year and they love it.

Themed parties can be a blast. The most common is probably Halloween but there are oppertunities for themed parties all throughout the year. I’d love to go to a party with a later decade theme, before the 70s.

I have a small deck which is 10 x 10 and on one side I have the table and the other I call it the tiki lounge so after dinner, we move 1 foot over to the tiki lounge. My deck also has tiki torches hooked on the rails for a very tropical feel. I wish my deck were bigger so a real tiki bar could replace my lounge.
